A Little Bit About Our History

Bronnie Ware¹, a former palliative care Australian nurse, collected the top five regrets of people at the end of their lives. They are:

“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
“I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.”
“I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.”
“I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.”
“I wish that I had let myself be happier.”

It is hard to imagine that we might be at the end of our lives, and we find comfort in the idea that we are still young and have a whole life in front of us. If that’s you, I advise you to read the “Your Life in Weeks” post by Tim Urban and come back.

It is with the awareness that our life is finite and people on their deathbeds feel they could have done better that I find it urgent to live.

To live is to shut down others’ expectations, other’s screams for consumerism, and others’ ideals of a great life. To live is to be oneself and genuinely care for our loved ones. I built KosHjerte to help people create unforgettable memories. I find surprises the ultimate way to say, “I have taken the time to think about what could make you the happiest”. That is why we can help you with trip planning, marriage proposals, birthday parties, celebration gifts, and anything that creates remarkable moments.

I am looking forward to starting planning with you!

All the best,

Mariana
